My new home

While on my daily early walk with Emma, I could see the estate across the water, so I rested the camera on some driftwood to steady it,

zoomed in & got this shot.

You can even see 2 people crabbing.

story is about this estate, there are 2 large houses across the water, the first (you can't see belongs to the 1st wife), and this house was built for his 2nd wife!

BIRDS

I got this shot one morning while walking with Emma..around 6:00 am, I heard something behind me on the dock, turned and there he was with breakfast!

He is by far my favorite! another early morning picture taking opp.

visit with Olivia at Cherry Stone

Garland's Aunt Olivia and friend Dickie came up from Newport News to visit one day while we were camping. We all went out on one of the several piers at the park to search for oysters and crabs.

since there wasn't an "R" in the

month of June.

The rule for eating oysters,

clams & mussels

is to eat only during months

that have "R" in them...

(ex. January, March)

Emma was not allowed out on the pier..

Cherry Stone has theme events. The weekend we were there was Chocoholic Weekend. They had all kinds of activities involving chocolate, like a chocolate pudding slip & slide for the children, pie eating contest for the adults and my favorite, an ice cream eating contest. I didn't win, but I sure had fun...
